Paper proposals are currently being accepted for a special
session on George Eliot for the Pacific Ancient and Modern Language Association
2014 conference. This panel will explore the complex ideas and themes
throughout Eliot’s work. Contributors are encouraged to submit work that
examines the many facets of Eliot’s output, as she engaged the historical,
literary, philosophical, and cultural trends of her day.
Deadline for submission: Proposals and abstracts of 300
words should be submitted via the online system at http://www.pamla.org/2014 by May
